Information about individual countries or groups of countries may be found in both paper and online resources.

Contains images, diaries, journals, books. Provides a wide variety of original source material.
- Country Commerce (EIU)Reference guide to the specific operating conditions, commercial laws and business regulations of 60 countries worldwide.
- Country Profile (EIU)Outline a country's economic and political status and background. Provide annual perspective on the long-term political and social issues affecting each country, providing a complete introduction to all international markets.
- Country Reports (EIU)Analysis of political and economic trends in nearly 200 countries, showing how national, regional and global events will affect business in the short to medium term.
- Europa World Year BookCovers political and economic information in more than 250 countries and territories.
- Iraq 1914 - 1974 (Middle East Online: Series 2)Includes primary source material from the British Foreign Office, Colonial Office, War Office. Covers the period from the Anglo-Indian landing in Basra in 1914 through the British Mandate in Iraq of 1920-32 to the rise of Saddam Hussein in 1974. Contains major policy statements, working documents, minor documents and marginalia.
- Political Handbook of the WorldIncludes facts and analysis on individual country’s governmental and political makeup. Features information on countries and territories throughout the world. Covers all major and minor political parties and groups in each political system. - Political Risk YearbookIncludes 100 country reports. Updated every year to include the latest report for each country.
- Russian National BibliographyIncludes over 2,000,000 Russian bibliographic citations from over 21,000 publishers in all disciplines. Search for citations from books, newspapers, journals, dissertation abstracts, musical scores, and maps.

- ABSEES (American Bibliography of Slavice and East European Studies)Journal articles, books, book chapters, book reviews, dissertations, and selected government publications on East-Central Europe and the former Soviet Union published in the United States and Canada.
- Africa BibliographyDescribes books, chapters, articles and pamphlets on all regions of Africa including North Africa. Categorized by region, country and subject. Includes an author index and a detailed thematic index. Focus is on the social and environmental sciences, humanities and arts, and some items from the medical, biological and natural sciences are recorded.
- Africabib.orgConsists of two bibliographic databases covering Africana periodical literature (Africana Periodical Literature Bibliographic Database) and African Women's literature (African Women Bibliographic Database). You will also find a comprehensive bibliography on women travelers and explorers to Africa (Women Travelers, Explorers and Missionaries to Africa Bibliographic Database).
- African Studies Abstracts OnlineProvides a quarterly overview of journal articles and edited works on Africa in the field of the social sciences and the humanities available in the African Studies Centre Library, University of Leiden.
- Bibliography of Asian StudiesIncludes primarily western-language articles and book chapters on all parts of Asia.
- Current Bibliography on African AffairsProvides current, comprehensive and annotated bibliography for study and research in the field of African Studies and related subjects. Source materials are both African and International. The Bibliographical Section is divided into two parts - General and Regional. Headings in these areas will adjust to accommodate current interests.
- Index IslamicusIncludes information about the Middle East, main Muslim areas of Africa and Asia, plus Muslim minorities in other parts of the world. Includes information on articles, books, book chapters, book reviews and conference proceedings.

- Middle East and North AfricaPart of the Europa Regional Surveys of the World. Provides the most up-to-date geo-political and economic information for this region of the world.
