World Imagery Wayback
Historical imagery (from 2014-present) for the entire world from ESRI. The images can be viewed with a web browser, but can also be used with ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS desktop and ArcGIS Pro.
Orthoimages of Canada, 2005-2010
Derived from SPOT 4 or 5 satellite imagery. Use Google Earth kml file to see footprint, date and links to ftp directory
Natural Resources Canada
Natural Resources Canada's (ftp) site that distributes geospatial data of Canada. Data is available for download, without charge, including several types of full resolution satellite imagery.
Landsat Look Viewer
Scene search uses TM and ETM+ imagery from 1999 to present at 20% cloud cover, including Landsat 8 imagery
Landsat Explorer
This app allows you to draw on Landsat's different bands to visualize how the earth's surface has changed over the pasty forty years.
EARTHDATA
This application is used to search, discover, visualize, refine and access NASA earth observation data.
USGS EarthExplorer
Query, preview or order satellite images, aerial photographs, and cartographic products through the U.S. Geological Survey, much of it free with registration. Includes access to Landsat, Sentinel-2 and ASTER L1 data
EOS Land Viewer
Allows users to access satellite data, visualize and perform online image processing/analysis in a web browser. Provides free access to a variety of datasets such as Landsat 7-8 (as well as historical Landsat imagery), Sentinel-1 and 2, MODIS, NAIP and CBERS-4others (10 free downloads per day). Simple and straightforward interface with many easy-to-use tools.
ASTER Global Digital Elevation Model (GDEM)
The GDEM is produced with 30 meter postings, and is formatted in 1 x 1 degree tiles as GeoTIFF files. Free download upon registration
USGS Landsat Project
Provides background and technical information, image galleries and links to data products
Multispectral Landsat imagery (from ESRI's Living Atlas Map Gallery)
This map features multiple image layers presenting different views of Landsat imagery of the world. Updated daily. Several other themes are available.
Color Landform Atlas of the United States
County, Regional, Black and white, historic as well as satellite images may also be available for each state.
NaturalVue imagery (ESRI's NaturalVue Community)
Imagery and maps based on imagery from MDA Information Systems
Digital Globe
Includes a high resolution image gallery for current events
European Space Agency
Access to satellite image captured by Sentinel 1 and Sentinel 2 satellite. Both the satellite were lunched between 2014 and 2015. Sentinel provides high and medium resolution (5m to 20m) of the land and ocean surface data. The image is continuous of day, night or all-weather.
