Audio Books in the Doucette Library
Hearing the text of a book while reading it at the same time, may help students' understanding and their development of language skills. The Doucette Library has audiobooks both of novels, and picture books.  Using the classic catalogue, search for audiobooks. and limit to the Doucette library. You will also have to search for the print copy of the novel, to accompany the recording.

Picture books - There are some audiorecordings of picture books which are packaged along with the book.  To find these use Advanced Search, and limit the location to Doucette Library - Picture Books, as shown below:

Audio Books from Learn Alberta
Learn Alberta's Online Reference Centre gives you access to two products where students can hear a book read aloud, while they also see the text on the screen: Bookflix and Trueflix.  (Ask at the Doucette Library reference desk for the Learn Alberta user name and password.)
