- CANSIM@Statistics CanadaCANSIM is Statistics Canada's key socioeconomic database. Updated daily, CANSIM provides fast and easy access to a large range of the latest statistics available in Canada.
- Open Data Inception2500+ Open Data portals around the world. Search by topic or location or view the data as a list on the OpenDataSoft website.
- Open Knowledge InternationalOpen data sources are categorized by major themes: Global Challenges; Citizens, democratic accountability and governance; Research, science and culture; and Consumers and business accountability.
- Google Public Data ExplorerGlobal and U.S. datasets covering economic indicators, demographic, labour, health, education statistics and more. Create visualizations of public data, link to them, or embed them in webpages.

- OpenDOAR: Directory of Open Access RepositoriesA global directory of academic open access repositories. As well as providing a simple repository list, OpenDOAR lets you search for repositories or search repository contents. Search by keyword or select a country to see relevant data tables.Find official statistics produced by countries and compiled by United Nations data system, as well as estimates and projections. The domains covered are agriculture, education, energy, industry, labour, national accounts, population and tourism. You can also find indicators such as Millennium Development Goals
- World Data Bank - World Bank GroupDataBank is an analysis and visualisation tool that contains collections of time series data on a variety of topics. You can create your own queries; generate tables, charts, and maps; and easily save, embed, and share them.
- Data.govThis site is home to the U.S. government open data. Search by keyword or browse topics.
- PEW Research Center: DataFind key U.S. political, economic and demographic trends over time with regularly updated charts and explore further by downloading data sets, trying data interactives or viewing key data points. Themes include: US National conditions; Political attitudes; Domestic issues; Media & technology; Society & demographics.
- Data portalsA comprehensive list of open data portals from around the World.
- OECD iLibraryThe online library of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development. Extensive statistical resources, economic indicators, country tables and more. Many of these resources are publicly available.
- USA.govFind data about the U.S., such as Census data, maps and population, demographic, and economic data.
