Tips for Finding Books

As a student attending the University of Calgary, you have access to the books, journals and online resources of a major research institution. Your subject librarians are available for research assistance as well.

Your University of Calgary UNICARD is your library card, and gives students the following privileges:

  • Borrowing books with a term loan due date unless recalled by other patrons.
  • Interlibrary loan
  • Off-campus access to Library Research Databases

Google Books

Google Books

Sometimes it is difficult to find books on a topic through our Library Catalogue.  Google Books is a great search tool to discover chapters in books. Once you find a relevant book, search the title of the book in the Library's Search Box to see if we own it.
