Commodities

Commodities are raw materials that can be traded in bulk. Commodities fall into 3 classes: energy, metals and agricultural products. Commodities are traded on futures markets through commodity exchanges like the NYMEX.

The main menu for Commodities may be accessed by clicking on the yellow <Comdty> key on the upper keyboard and then the green <GO> key.


Commonly used commands for energy data:

OIL <GO> menu for crude oil markets GLCO <GO> - global commodity prices
GAS <GO> - menu for natural gas markets       CTM <GO> - futures contracts by category/exchange/region
VOLT <GO> - menu for electricity markets CPFC <GO> - commodity price forecasts
