Arctic and Northern Studies Archival Content

About the Subject

The University of Calgary is home to a large research collection related to the Arctic and Northern Regions. This collection draws primarily draws from the Glenbow Collections, UCalgary Special Collections, and from the Arctic Institute of North America (AINA). 

 

The Arctic institute of North America was created through an act of government in 1945. In 1976 AINA moved to the University of Calgary. This collection focuses on the exploration and scientific discoveries of the Arctic.  Access to these archival collections is available through the Glenbow Western Research Centre, located on the second floor of the Taylor Family Digital Library.
