Mountain Studies
Special Collections holds many books and other special materials that address the natural and cultural aspects of mountains, mountain activities, sports, tourism, and mountain culture. Emphasis is on the mountains and culture of the Rocky Mountains of Canada, but works on mountains and mountaineering in other regions are acquired. The growth of this collecting area is largely supported by the generosity of the late Brian L. Mazza.
The Glenbow Library's strong local history holdings include many historical and contemporary works about the Canadian Rockies.
