Tools for Managing Sensitive Data - Portage Network/DRAC
The Digital Research Alliance of Canada's Sensitive Data Expert Group has developed a Sensitive Data Toolkit for researchers. To date, it includes the following tools:
- Glossary of Terms for Sensitive Data Used for Research PurposesProvides definitions for common terms used in the discussion of the management of sensitive data in the Canadian context.
- Human Participant Research Data Risk MatrixIntended to help researchers determine risk level for human participant research data, and make decisions with respect to its management, deposit, and appropriate access/future use.
- Research Data Management Language for Informed ConsentIntended to assist researchers working with sensitive data in the development of tailored, deposit-friendly language for ethics approval and informed consent.
