Environmental impact assessments in Alberta are reviewed and led by Alberta Environment and Parks under the authority of the Alberta Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act, Environmental Assessment (Mandatory and Exempted Activities) Regulation, and Environmental Assessment Regulation. Other departments and agencies may be involved in this process.
