Digital innovation is a focus globally, a key to societal progress, and a strategic target area for the University of Calgary. The Digital Innovation Lab at the Werklund School of Education encompasses the Digital Creation Studio space, loanable technology, and leading-edge research innovation. The Digital Innovation Lab has strong potential to impact the quality of on-campus and online learning experiences and research. The Digital Innovation Lab provides support for innovative research projects related to teaching and learning, and is maintained by the Werklund School of Education. What We Do
Through the Werklund School of Education’s Office of Teaching and Learning, students, faculty, and staff can borrow technology to support research, teaching, and learning. Contact us to learn how we can assist you in integrating digital innovation into your project.
Who Can Borrow
Any Werklund School of Education student (full-time, part-time, or continuing education), faculty, or staff member with a valid UCID card is eligible to borrow equipment. Please note that only members of the Werklund community may borrow the equipment listed on this page.
Borrowing Rules

Loan period: 7 days

Extensions: To request a longer loan period, use the link below to submit an email inquiry.

Quantity limit: Only one laptop may be borrowed at a time. Requests for additional equipment are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Loan agreement: All borrowers must sign an agreement accepting responsibility for repair or replacement costs if the equipment is lost or damaged.
How to Book Equipment

Visit the Loanable Equipment tab and use the provided links to submit your booking request.

Use your @ucalgary.ca email address when submitting your request.

Equipment will be available for pickup one business day after the booking has been received.

Bring your UCID when picking up your equipment.
