Libraries & Cultural Resources COVID-19 Update

At this time, priority for our collections, spaces and services is reserved for University of Calgary students, staff and faculty.

Computer/Study Space Booking Information

Beginning September 7, to accommodate students who may have back-to-back face-to-face and online classes, Libraries and Cultural Resources has set aside seating in the TFDL and our branch libraries so that students can connect to their online classes.

Access is restricted to students and faculty with valid UCID cards.

Two types of space are available:

  • Computer workstations for those students without a computer who need to connect to an online class. These workstations do not have Web Cams.
  • Workspaces for students who have laptops and just need a place to sit to connect to an online class

Students will need to bring their own USB Computer Headsets (with microphones).

This is on the honour system. Only book what you actually need. You will be asked to leave a booked space if you are not using it to access an online class. There are other open workstations and study spaces available throughout our spaces.
