Philosophy
Philosophy asks fundamental questions about ourselves, the world, and our place within it.
Key Skills & Knowledge
Conflict resolution: listening and debate; capacity to anticipate and understand the views and concerns of others.
Interdisciplinary methodology and perspective: Understand and integrate different ways of thinking or conceptual frameworks.
Analytical and deductive reasoning: Critical and reflective thinking; synthesis, summation and clarification of complex data; think thoroughly and systematically, using methods of conceptual analysis, reasoning, and detailed description.
Ethical perspective and understanding: Proficiency in using techniques for addressing complex ethical and practical dilemmas.
Understanding of logic and persuasion: Formulate and defend positions; identify key elements in an argument and to evaluate the logic of the argument; speak articulately and listen objectively.
