Resources and information about data visualization at the University of Calgary and beyond.


Libraries and Cultural Resources Visualization Program runs three different workshops:

  • Data Visualization - this workshop provides an introduction to visually encoding data.  
  • Data Visualization Tools - a workshop providing an overview of the visualization tools described on the Software & Tools page.
  • Tableau - a hands on introduction to Tableau.

These workshops are offered during Fall and Winter block week and occasionally at other times through the year.  To find when they are next offered see the library workshops calendar.  If you do not see a workshop listed and you would like to request one, please fill out this short survey:

Visualization Meetup

A monthly virtual gathering to bring people interested in data visualizations.  Everyone from data vis experts to those just want to find out more about visualization are welcome.  Come and connect with others across campus.
