Workshops

Libraries and Cultural Resources offers several different workshops related to data visualization.  

  • Data Visualization and Tools - This workshop provides an introduction to data visualization and the process of visually encoding data.  
  • Tableau - A hands-on introduction to Tableau, powerful and flexible visualization software, that enables people to easily create a wide variety of data visualizations and interactive dashboards.
  • Qualitative Visualization - An introduction and overview of data visualization techniques that are particularly suited to qualitative data.
  • Network Visualization -This hands-on session is designed to equip participants with the skills to effectively work with network data, create compelling network diagrams using Cytoscape, and use visual variables to enhance the communicative power of their visualizations.
  • Infographics - An introduction to the fundamentals of creating infographics as a powerful tool to distill and disseminate research findings in an accessible, visually engaging, and impactful way.
