Indigenous Student Access Program (ISAP)

Tânsi (Cree), Ôki (Siksika/Blackfoot), ãba watOéc (Nakoda), Edlónat'e (Dene), Bonjour (French), and Hello (English), welcome to the University of Calgary's Indigenous Student Access Program (ISAP) Library Guide!

We would like to acknowledge the traditional territories of the people of the Treaty 7 region in Southern Alberta, which includes the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut'ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Wesley First Nations). The City of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region III. We are grateful to live and work on these lands.

The library offers a lot of resources, spaces, supports, and materials that can be helpful during your studies at ISAP and into your chosen major.

While this research guide primarily focuses on Indigenous topics to support the required ISAP courses, there is a wealth of other resources to explore (including some fun things to check out at the library!). We encourage students to use this guide as a stepping stone and apply information to their specific area of study.
