There is a tendency to want to break music into subcategories based on genre, which can be helpful in certain circumstances, but can also limit the variety of sources in research.  These resources have been categorized by format with content pertaining to several areas of musical focus.  Titles can be used as points of inspiration for further findings, either using the "virtual browse" feature in the catalogue record, physical browsing in the call number area of TFDL stacks, following authors and editors for their complete works.
