Linguistics

This guide provides information and selected resources on linguistics available to you through UCalgary Library and the Internet

How to find academic articles

There are two main ways to search for academic articles:

  • Using the library catalogue
  • Using an academic database

Academic databases will often allow you to narrow your search to a particular subject or disciplinary area, which can mean that you get more relevant results more quickly.

The Building Blocks for Library Research video series has useful information about using databases to find academic, including developing search strategies.
