Browse the Shelves
To browse for books related to Linguistics on the shelves, use the call number range P1 - P1091. These books are located on the 6th floor of the Taylor Family Digital Library (TFDL). You may also find books on the linguistics of particular languages in the sections relating to particular language families: for example, classical languages (Latin, Greek) are in the PA section, Romance languages are in the PC section, Germanic languages are in the PD and PF sections, and East Asian languages are in the PL section. The Library of Congress has a full list of the call number ranges they use for languages and linguistics.
Note that not all of our Linguistics books are located in the TFDL; many are housed in the High Density Library (HDL). If you see that a book in the library catalogue that you're interested in is located in the HDL, sign into your library account to request it. It will be delivered to TFDL (or another campus library location) within a couple of days.
