Doucette Library Supports and Collections

The guide supports the Werklund School of Education community to connect with supports and resources at the Doucette Library branch of Libraries and Cultural Resources.

Unicard (UCID)

For access to library services, Active living, and printers on campus, you will need a Unicard (UCID). The Unicard is managed by the Campus Service Centre and within 24 hours of activation you can access LCR services and printing services.

Printing Information

For access to campus printers, you will need a Unicard with funds pre-loaded.

To load your Unicard you can visit Campus Service Centre, on-campus kiosk locations, or online through your Unicard account. Kiosks to load funds are cash only and the closest locations to Doucette Library are at the Taylor Family Digital Library (TFDL) or MacEwan Student Centre near the bookstore.

To access printers, the locations closest to the Doucette Library are in the Professional Facilities building (2167, 2250), TFDL, and Scurfield Hall basement. For more information and locations visit the Student Printing information page.

Accessing Technologies

LCR Computers

The Doucette Library has available desktop computers students can use during opening hours. Other library locations have additional computer spaces. The Taylor Family Digital Library (TFDL) has bookable technology loans, high performance PCs and digital media Mac computers.

LCR's Lab NEXT

Located on the 3rd floor of TFDL, Lab NEXT features a Makerspace, bookable and open collaboration spaces, high performance computers, Virtual Reality applications, and media suites.

Werklund's Digital Innovation Lab

The Digital Innovation Lab at Werklund School of Education encompasses the Digital Creation Studio space, loanable technology, and leading-edge research innovation.
