- Internet Library sub-Saharan Africa - great resource for religion in Africa - includes the Africa catalogue of GIGA Hamburg, African Studies Centre, Leiden and Nordic Africa Institute in Uppsala, Sweden
- The Karlsruhe Virtual Catalogue - union catalogue of European and World libraries.
- LGBTQ Religious Collections in Archives in the US and Beyond
- Library Hub Discover- Search a database of 172 UK and Irish academic, national & specialist library catalogues which includes the British Library. Replaces COPAC.
- MENALIB: The Middle East Virtual Library - "provides access to electronic full text materials or electronic bibliographical records of printed materials and manuscripts." Searches a number of European Middle Eastern research institutes including German Institute of Global and Area Studies, the Zentrum Moderner Orient and the ULB Halle.
- Merhav - searches all resources at the National Library of Israel including Israel Union Catalog and Qiryat Sefer (National Bibliography of Israel)
- National Union Catalog of Manuscript Collections
- Sudoc - is "the French collective catalogue produced by the libraries and documentation centres of higher education and research . It contains more than 12 million bibliographic records describing all kinds of documents (books, theses, journals, electronic resources, audio-visual documents, microforms, maps, partitions, manuscripts and old books.) Lastly, Sudoc's mission is to list all dissertations/theses produced in France."

Collège de France Library - extensive holdings for Buddhism and other Asian religions with holdings including Institut d'Etudes Tibétaines, Institut d'Etudes Indiennes, Institut d'Etudes Coréennes, Institut des Hautes Etudes Chinoises and Institut d'Etudes Japonaises. Indexes books, articles and theses.

Harvard - can also search specific holdings of the Andover-Harvard Theological Library . Hollis for Archival Discovery provides access to archival and manuscript collections of Harvard through a search of the finding aids.

Indiana University Folklore collection - 55,000 titles including the Henri Gaidoz collection relating to Celtics studies and comparative religion. Digitized books may also be searched in Google Books or Hathi Trust.

Institute for the Study of Ancient Cultures West Asia and North Africa - index to books, articles, book sections as well as photos, museum and archival resources. Good source to locate research resources on Ancient Near Eastern religions (Egyptian, Zoroastianism etc.), Biblical Studies and early Christianity, and early history of Islam and Judaism.

SOAS (School of Oriental and African Studies)Library - "collections reflect the British interaction with Africa and Asia" - include archives of missionaries and unpublished manuscripts in many languages including Arabic and south, south-east and east Asian languages. Selected material has been digitized.
